FSU meetings in affected workplaces next week
The FSU has received confirmation that processes within Recovery and Settlements and the Claims Centre Payments team will be the first to be impacted by Suncorp’s offshoring program.
All of the 50 people working in the Claims Centre Payments team will be impacted by Suncorp’s decision to send work and jobs offshore, and permanent and part time roles in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne will go.
The FSU will work with Suncorp and any members affected to maximise redeployment opportunities.
The union has also been advised that employees within Single Vehicle Accidents will continue to work for the company in other areas of Recovery and Settlements and the processes currently performed by employees in Single Vehicle Accidents will be performed by workers overseas. It is envisaged that the employees currently in these roles will progress to other areas within Recovery and Settlements.
FSU is holding lunch time meetings next week in affected Suncorp workplaces in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. You will receive invitations by email and fax once the dates and venues are confirmed. Make sure you get to one of these meetings for advice on your rights.
The union is continuing its public campaign opposing Suncorp’s offshoring plans.
Keep up to date with the campaign here.
