FSU Futures in Finance Skills Forum 2008
The Futures in Finance Skills Forum was held on 30th May, 2008. The Forum was attended by 44 people representing finance companies, finance industry associations, universities, the Victorian and Federal Governments and the Finance Sector Union.
The key objectives for the Forum were to:
- Bring together decision makers, leaders and policy makers from industry, government and academia to discuss future challenges.
- Canvass issues around skills and labour needs and gather ideas about how we plan for the industry’s needs now and for the future.
- Provide an opportunity to share common issues and find common solutions.
- Contribute to the future growth and success of our industry and its people.
The Forum was facilitated in a manner that encouraged dialogue amongst those participating. A number of speakers made presentations to encourage discussion.
The Finance Sector Union will seek through its own independent means and in concert with industry stakeholders to progress the outcomes and recommendations.
