Bankwest Open on ANZAC Day - Know Your Rights
Print  |  Email

Bankwest Stores will be open in Victoria on ANZAC Day.

Whilst negotiations have commenced on a new Collective Agreement, the current Agreement still applies until a new one is finalised.

Under Clause 9(s) of the Bankwest Concept Stores Agreement 2007 if you are rostered to work on ANZAC Day you have the right to be paid a loading on top of your regular hourly pay for working on that day.

That rate is 100%, meaning you should receive double the hourly rate that you would receive if you were working a normal weekday.

If you have any commitments that make working on ANZAC Day impractical, speak to your Store Manager. Under Clause 9(d) of the Agreement personal and family circumstances should be taken into account in the setting of rosters.

Check your pay to make sure you have received that payment. If you have not, ask your Store Manager, and if it is not rectified then contact the FSU Member Rights Centre on 1300 366 378.
