Bankwest: Stop the press! IT, Change Management Rrestructure
Friday, 3 December 2010
Members have contacted the FSU around the recent IT restructure with concerns their roles may change significantly as result.
To date members have not received a letter of
redeployment or a new JDF. The FSU encourages all members affected to have a current copy of their JDF
along with confirmation of their current grade and to request a copy of their new JDF.
Know your Rights
Bankwest recently advised FSU of restructures to the IT, Change Management (Retail, Business) and Communications (Retail) employees.
The major change was to create a new division to be called Bankwest IT and Change Management, with changes to taking effect from 1st November 2010. While we understand much of the restructure will mean only a change of line Manager there are a number of other changes which could have a more significant effect.
If you are one of the approximate 340 employees who work in the affected areas and would like to discuss what the changes mean to your continued employment you should contact the Union on 1300 366 378.
Redundancy, Redeployment and Retrenchment
If your position is identified as redundant you have the right to a fair and transparent process where you are given every opportunity to be retrained and retained in employment. Workload should also be taken into account when restructures are taking place.
Further details can be found in “Bankwest: Change, Redundancy, Redeployment and Retrenchment” kit available on the FSU website www.fsunion.org.au
