On 10th November we advised the good news that Bankwest had agreed to apply the POR/POR+ allowances. The bank has advised this payment will be paid as follows.

“Colleagues who were a POR prior to the 1st July and have been nominated as the current POR will receive their POR allowance on the 1st December, backdated to 1st July.  They will then receive payments at the end of each quarter.

All new POR colleagues will receive their first payment in the first pay run at the end of the quarter, backdated to 18th November or an earlier date if they were appointed prior to this date.  They will then receive their payments at the end of each quarter.”

How do I know if I qualify for POR/POR+?

Clause 20 of the 2011 Bankwest General Agreement provides that where a colleague is required to act as a POR within Retail Sales they will be recognized for their contributions through an allowance.
 
The allowance is allocated by the number of FTE equivalent in your workplace as follows.

Company retail locations with 7 or less full time equivalent (FTE) to appoint a POR with an annual allowance of $930.80.

Company retail locations with more than 7 FTE to appoint a POR+ with an annual allowance of $1861.60.

The outcome is a great example of members raising issues with the Union and working together to ensure they receive their entitlements.
