RAC: Have a SAY in your EA

Your current Enterprise Agreement (EA) expires in June 2010.  RAC and FSU have met to discuss a possible starting date and we anticipate this will be mid to late April 2010.

It’s time now for you ALL to think about what is important to you and what you would like to see in the new agreement.

It is very important that you take an interest in the information you will receive about your EA.  This is after all, your terms and conditions of employment.  It is also important to remember, this is where we negotiate your PAY increases.

An FSU organiser will be visiting your workplace soon to give you more information on the negotiating process.  At this time you will also be given a survey to complete.  The results of which survey will be collated and form the basis of our claim on RAC.

You may also wish to be apart of the negotiation process, if so look out for the flyer calling for nominations.  There are 2 roles to consider:

  1. Committee member – this entails being a part of the FSU committee, which generally meet after each negotiation session by phone conference|
  2. Committee member and negotiations team member – this role entails being a member of the FSU committee (as above) and also means being on the negotiating team which meets face to face with the RAC negotiating team.

FSU members - You are safe in the knowledge that we will be representing you and your interests at the negotiating table.

Not an FSU member? Who is representing you and your interests during negotiations?
