TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
 

1. Instructions on “How to Enter” form part of these Conditions of Entry. 

2. The promotion is open to finance sector workers who apply for membership of the Finance Sector Union of Australia (FSU) via the FSU website join online facility in each calendar month and are current members at the time of the draw. Employees and officials of the FSU and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

3. The promotion commences on 1st September, 2009 and entries close at 12.00 midnight on the last day of each calendar month until 31st August, 2010.

4. The monthly prize winners will be selected by draw from the names of members of the FSU, who became members in the preceding month via the online joining facility on the FSU website, www.fsunion.org.au. The monthly draw for the monthly prize will take place on the first weekday following the last day of each month at 3 pm AEST at FSU, 341 Queen Street, Melbourne, by way of a manual draw. The monthly prize winner will be notified by mail and their name and work location will be published on the FSU website and in the next edition of FSU Online. Should the winner not claim the prize an unclaimed draw prize will occur on 1 December, 2010.

5. The promoter cannot cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition without prior consultation with relevant authorities, and subject to written directions from State Regulatory bodies.

6. Total prize value is $1,200, made up of monthly prizes to the value of $100. 

7. Prize: The person drawn on the first working day of each month will win a Coles Gift Card or Woolworths Wish Card valued at $100.00.

8. No special entry form is required. All people commencing membership during the promotion period will be automatically entered into the competition upon receipt of the membership application form. 

9. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any change in the value of a prize occurring between the start of the promotion and the date the prize is claimed. Membership forms received after the closing date will not be considered. The judge’s decision in relation to any aspect of the promotion is final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. All prizes must be taken as offered and are not transferable. The prizes are not redeemable for cash.

10. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this promotion will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the FSU Privacy Policy (a copy of which can be obtained by contacting the FSU).

11. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with any prize offered, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

12. The Promoter is Finance Sector Union of Australia, ABN 27843406938 of 341 Queen St, Melbourne, Vic, 3000. 

13. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including as a result of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, and subject to the approval of those authorities which have issued permits for the conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.  The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or the information on a website, or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion, may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, whether successful or not, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
