ANZ Collective Agreement 2010: Negotiations Conclude Member Consultation Commences
Wednesday, 29 September 2010
Following extensive negotiations between ANZ and FSU, the parties have finalised a proposed new collective agreement that now requires your consideration and input.
Positive progress to renew a collective agreement for ANZ members for the first time since 1998 is welcomed, but now member input is critical.
The proposal:
- Guarantees pay increases for 2010 and 2011 based on existing performance criteria; no Global Performance Framework for Grade 5 & 6 employees
- Increases in minimum pay rates;
- Moves existing policies into a certified and binding agreement.
ANZ hasn’t agreed to everything we’ve asked for, in particular we draw your attention to two critical issues FSU believes requires member input:
- ANZ having sole discretion in determining your targets and objectives
- Two consecutive performance ratings of 4 receiving a zero pay increase
Full details of the proposal will be released over the coming days.
It’s your turn to tell ANZ and FSU what you think about the draft agreement.
This is an important time for your feedback on the detail of the agreement. ANZ and FSU negotiators have committed to one last meeting to address any significant issues in feedback received before the agreement goes to a vote of all eligible staff.
Over the coming weeks, FSU will be holding Workplace Reps meetings, conducting workplace visits and teleconferences to discuss the agreement in detail and listen to your feedback. ANZ have committed to assisting this process by releasing Workplace Reps in work time to attend either meetings or teleconferences.
Next Steps
FSU will soon put out notices for upcoming meetings, visits and teleconferences around the country and all members are encouraged to take part in this consultation process.
- Watch out for your local notices to make sure your voice is heard through this critical feedback process.
- Make sure your Workplace has an FSU Rep, elect one today if necessary.
- Encourage everyone at work to ensure that they are an FSU member to build the strongest possible voice for a good agreement at ANZ.
