ANZ Collective Agreement 2010 - Time to vote!
Wednesday, 17 November 2010
Negotiations and consultation on a proposed new Collective Agreement in ANZ have concluded and it is now time for you to have your final say by participating in the upcoming ballot process.
For the first time since 1998, you will have the opportunity to vote for a new set of working conditions which includes the pay increases for 2010 & 2011. Whilst the agreement doesn’t deliver everything FSU members asked for in relation to targets and performance assessment, it will provide a modernised wage safety net and an independent umpire for the first time on a large number of other workplace issues.
Following the recent consultation process the most significant change to the agreement is the reinstatement of district allowances for members who live in remote areas of Australia. ANZ had proposed to exempt new employees from the allowances but following FSU member feedback have reinstated the current entitlement.
Access
You will soon receive, or have direct access to a final copy of the Agreement. If you have any problems accessing or understanding the agreement, please contact either the FSU or ANZ.
Who is eligible to vote?
Everyone who is covered by the Agreement is eligible to vote, this means Group 4, 5 and 6 employees at ANZ, including staff who have recently moved from INGA.
When will the vote be?
You will have a minimum of 7 days access to a copy of the agreement and adequate time to consider the contents and ask any further questions.
Following that the ballot will be open from 12:01am on Wednesday November 24th to 8pm on Tuesday 30th November (EDST) for all staff covered by the agreement to place their vote.
