ANZ Pay Consultation – Have your say
Tuesday, 1 December 2009
The FSU and ANZ have been working towards a new collective agreement for ANZ employees since July. We have made significant progress; however, it is now critical that FSU consults with our members over the direction of pay at ANZ.
ANZ’s pay proposal
ANZ has proposed that the current pay structure for Group 5 and 6 employees be replaced by the bank’s Global Performance Management framework which currently only applies to market related and TEC packaged employees. ANZ wants to move Group 5 and 6 employees into the Global Performance Management Framework by 2011.
This would mean that from 2011, annual salary increases for Group 5 and 6 would be determined by ANZ based on:
- market data
- your individual performance and
- your Performance Assessment Report (PAR) relative to your peers
ANZ’s proposal will mean an end to across the board pay increases and a significant change to how pay increases are determined for your and your colleagues.
Members get a say
Earlier this year FSU members endorsed a union claim for the current negotiations that supported the pursuit of across the board pay increases for each year of the agreement.
We again need to hear from you. Your feedback on how to proceed with negotiations around the ANZ’s pay proposal is crucial.
Watch out for your Organiser who will be visiting your workplace so that you can have your say.
