ANZ Pay Consultation

The FSU and ANZ have been working towards a new collective agreement for ANZ employees since July. Significant progress has been made in these negotiations but it is now critical that FSU consult with our members seeking direction over the critical issue of pay.

As part of the discussion, ANZ has proposed that the current pay structure for Group 5 and 6 employees be relaced by the bank’s Global Performance Framework which currently applies to market related and TEC packaged employees. ANZ have said this is a deal breaker for them in coming to a new agreement.

FSU members endorsed a claim which asked for across the board pay increases that at least kept pace with the cost of living and performance pay to be additional to this.

ANZ’s proposal

From 2011, ANZ wants all employees to receive salary increases determined by ANZ based on market data, your individual performance and your Performance Assessment Report relative to your peers. The proposal would mean an end to across the board pay increases at ANZ.

Consultation

Over the next two months, FSU Organisers will be visiting as many ANZ workplaces as possible to educate around ANZ’s proposal with members and ask you to give the FSU negotiators direction around your pay claim.

Watch out for your Organiser visit so you can have your say.
