ANZ's Pay Proposal: Members speak up - loud and clear
Tuesday, 9 March 2010
The FSU and ANZ have been working towards a new collective agreement for ANZ employees. Following significant feedback from ANZ members regarding how you would like your pay structured, we are ready to return to negotiations with ANZ.
There has been a pleasing response to the call for feedback on how Group 5 & 6 employees would like their pay structured. The FSU has received almost 3,000 responses to the survey.
The survey has shown that overwhelmingly, 97% of respondents believe that Group 5 and 6 employees should continue to receive structured pay increases that include a defined across the board element as well as performance based bonuses.
ANZ has proposed that the current pay structure for Group 5 and 6 employees be replaced by the Global Performance Framework which currently applies to market related and TEC packaged employees. This would mean that ANZ would like your annual salary increases to be determined by market data, individual performances and your Performance Assessment Report (PAR) relative to your peers.
The response has been relayed to ANZ as the union's position and it has been agreed that negotiations will recommence late March.
There are several ways you can stay informed as negotiations progress:
- Look out for the FSU Updates, the FSU will be regularly providing updates to ANZ members as the negotiations progress.
- Ask your FSU Organiser and Workplace Representatives, they are happy to answer or relay your questions.
- Go to the FSU website.
Thank you to everyone who responded to the survey.
