ANZ’s Pay Proposal – a deal breaker

Consultation with members over ANZ's pay proposal is in full swing, with organisers visiting workplaces all over the country.

ANZ have told the FSU that the proposed new pay structure is a deal breaker. In other words, no new enterprise agreement will be entered into by the bank unless you and the FSU agree to the changes to how your pay is determined.

These changes include a move away from across the board pay increases for Group 5 and 6 employees to the bank’s Global Performance Management framework.

FSU’s position – endorsed by members

FSU members have endorsed a policy position that calls for across the board pay increases that match or better cost of living standards. Performance and market based adjustments should be paid in addition to the across the board payments.

In June this year, FSU members in ANZ endorsed a union claim for the current negotiations that supported across the board pay increases for each year of a new agreement.

We now require your feedback on how to respond to ANZ's pay proposal.

Over the coming weeks, FSU organisers will be visiting your workplace to canvas your views on this proposal. Take the time to complete the questionnaire that organisers are distributing.

This is your opportunity to have a say about how you will be paid in the future -  make sure you participate.

If an organiser has not yet visited your workplace, look out for the brochure arriving with your Annual FSU report posted out over the coming week.
