What should you be doing now?
If you work in a back office area where potentially some restructuring might occur as a result of the sale, you should start preparing now.
-
Make sure you have an up to date and accurate copy of your Job Description – if you don’t have one, request it from your Manager. If you don’t think it is correct – commence discussions with your Manager to get it updated.
-
Make sure you know what the Grade of your job is – not the HBOS Band, but the Grade under the Award/Enterprise Agreement (e.g C4, A1, M2 etc). Make sure you have something in writing that confirms the Grade.
-
If you are approached about being redeployed to another role, then immediately request a Job Description and Grade information on the proposed Job.
We continue the campaign to protect jobs and conditions and to ensure that members concerns are addressed as the takeover proceeds.
