Bankwest: RDO or Pay Increase? It's Your Choice

Under Clause 22 of the Bankwest Workplace Agreement 2007 full-time employees are given the option to elect to work either:

  • 152 hours over a 4 week cycle (19 days plus 1 RDO)
    or
  • 160 hours over a 4 week cycle (20 days with no RDO). Employees who elect to work 160 hours will not receive an RDO but will be paid an extra 5.26% in their salary.

Free Choice - You Decide:

The Bankwest Agreement makes it clear that the choice to work 152 or 160 hours will be made freely and no employee will be disadvantaged in their career opportunities because of their choice.

In September Bankwest will be giving employees the option to work either 152 or 160 hours over the 4 week cycle.

If you decide to change it will be effective from the 1st December. Employees who wish to remain working their current hours do not need to do anything.

Choose Carefully:

Unless there are exceptional circumstances, the next opportunity to make this change will not occur until September 2012, so we advise members to carefully consider the option that suits them best. In previous years the opportunity has arisen at yearly intervals, this time the opportunity doesn’t arise again until 2012. You should also be aware that the FSU and Bankwest are currently negotiating a new Bankwest Workplace Agreement, and this clause may change in future as a result of that process.
