IAG Hours of Work
Print  |  Email

The FSU met with IAG last week as part of the ongoing Enterprise Agreement negotiations. The negotiations covered Hours of Work (section 4, IAG Enterprise Agreement 2003), and these discussions will continue in the coming weeks.

Hours of Work - What staff at IAG have told us is important to them:

  • Retaining the RDO and flex time systems.
  • Fairer access to flex time and a system that ensures staff are able to take the flex time accumulated.

Send us an email at: IAGfeedback@fsunion.org.au to let us know if you have had problems with flex time in your workplace.
  •
  • Increasing the weekend penalty to the industry standard of 75% for ordinary hours Sunday work.

Varying the Pattern of Hours:

The current IAG Enterprise Agreement 2003 specifies:

4.6 (a) An employees Pattern of Hours may be varied by mutual agreement between the employee and their manager.

Pattern of Hours refers to the days and/or hours worked. Changes to this often conflict with an employee’s family, personal and childcare commitments, which is why the current requirement of mutual agreement is important in giving employees a say in their working arrangements.

Under the 2003 Enterprise Agreement the FSU has assisted 336 IAG staff across CGU, NRMA, IAG and IMA with disputes regarding hours of work.

Is keeping the mutual agreement requirement in this clause important to you? Please email: IAGfeedback@fsunion.org.au to let us know if you have had an issue with varying the Pattern of Hours or feel that it is an important safeguard to keep the mutual agreement requirement.
