IAG Salary Review…What Should You Expect?
Print  |  Email

It’s IAG Salary Review time again and the FSU wants to make sure that IAG staff are aware of the pay increase you should expect.

Here are some figures that you should know when discussing the pay increase you receive this year:

  • 4.5%: Consumer Price Index (inflation) – year to June 08

  • 6%: The average Fixed Pay increase in the insurance sector 2007 – 2008  (not including bonuses)

  • 8%: Average Executive Pay Increase  2007 - 08

    • If you have been in the same job and have met your performance targets you should expect an increase of around 6%.

    • If your pay increase is below the inflation rate of 4.5% your wage is going backwards.

Salary Review Grievances:
If you haven’t received a pay increase or bonus for the last two you can seek a formal review of your case. For more information on the salary Review Appeals process see Clause 5.4 of the IAG Enterprise Agreement or contact the FSU Member Rights Centre on 1300 366 378.

Isn’t it time for a Better Pay System at IAG?
Many FSU members at IAG are concerned that the pay system lacks transparency and often doesn’t deliver the increases people deserve.

We are looking for IAG staff who would like to help the Union work towards getting a fairer pay system.

  • If you are interested in getting involved contact your local FSU Rep or Jim Piotrowski at the FSU office on (02) 9320-0056.
