IAG staff secure a 175% increase in profit for 2011
Wednesday, 31 August 2011
The hard work of IAG staff has resulted in the company almost tripling its net profit for the 2011 financial year. Net profit rose from $91 million in 2010 to $250 million in 2011. And insurance profit rose from $493 million to $660 million.
IAG staff have faced increased workloads and challenges with the spate of natural disasters in Australia and New Zealand, and have worked hard towards the financial success of the business.
IAG has the capacity to reward and remunerate their dedicated employees. FSU members at IAG have given very strong feedback through member surveys that they want IAG to ensure that all staff are able to keep up with cost of living pressures. It’s time for IAG to have a fair and rewarding pay system in the next Enterprise Agreement.
Join the FSU pay campaign and ensure you speak to your workplace rep about completing the feedback sheet on pay or call the Member Rights Centre on 1300 366 378.
