Nominations open for FSU Election
Tuesday, 1 April 2008
Nominations are now open for positions on the FSU Local Enterprise Councils in each of our state branches.
The Local Enterprise Council (LEC) is a state forum for reps elected by members at their particular enterprise. It’s an opportunity for these reps to join other finance sector colleagues to discuss issues and to provide guidance to the union leadership.
Local Enterprise Councils were established by the FSU National Executive as part of the Stepping Up strategy of 2006. The first workplace leaders elected to the LECs have played an essential role in the democratic process of our union, and on behalf of the union I thank these reps for their time, talent and commitment. I hope that many of our current LEC reps will consider nominating again, and I also look forward to welcoming new reps to the LECs.
The nominations open today, 1st April, and close on Wednesday 30th April.
