Your Pay - CBA Enterprise Agreement 2010 Consultation
Tuesday, 20 July 2010
This week the FSU has begun consultation with members around the proposed new enterprise agreement for CBA staff. Over the coming weeks members and reps will be invited to participate in either rep meetings, teleconferences, workplace meetings or organiser workplace visits where we will explain the new enterprise agreement and seek your feedback to both us and CBA. We will also send out information summarising the key aspects of the claim to your workplaces.
Key Features
Salary
Salary increases under this agreement will be based on your performance rating. All pay increases will be back dated to 1 July 2010 and the increases are as follows:
Rating / Increase
“Meets Expectation” or above / 4%
“Needs Improvement” / 2%
“Unsatisfactory” / 0%
The bank’s December 2010 interim review will give employees a balance of the applicable salary increase, back dated to 1 January 2011, should their ratings improve to “Needs Improvement” or “Meets Expectation or above”.
Minimum Rates
Minimum rates will be adjusted twice during the life of this agreement. The rates will increase by 2% from 1 July 2010 and a further 2% from 1 January 2011. These adjustments mean that if you are paid on the minimum rate, regardless of your performance, you will receive at least a 2% increase.
Performance and Targets
This is a new clause which outlines the criteria CBA needs to use in setting and assessing your targets. The factors that CBA need to consider are as follows:
- Staffing levels in employee’s workplace
- Appropriate training to perform current roles
- Employee’s experience
- Approved absences
- Market factors
At this point CBA has not agreed to this clause being subject to the “binding recommendation” clause on the Disputes Settlement Procedure.
It is important we hear your feedback on the proposal. Please email your feedback to CBA at ourworkplace@cba.com.au and FSU at ebafeedback@fsunion.org.au .
