Want to come to work each day to fight for well paid and secure jobs, healthy and safe workplaces and a socially responsible finance industry?

The Finance Sector Union is the union representing finance workers in Australia. Some of the pressures faced by FSU members include pressure to reach unrealistic performance targets, understaffing and heavy workloads.  It’s an exciting time to join our team, with FSU members’ issues now being in the national spotlight and with the FSU playing a key role in bringing about a Royal Commission into our industry.

We are committed to organising members to grow their union and win campaigns that make a real difference for workers and their families. The majority of our membership are women and we work very closely with these members to address issues pertaining to women in the industry, including pay equity, parental leave, superannuation payments on unpaid parental leave, domestic violence leave and support and access to flexible work arrangements.

As an organiser, you will work with our dedicated workplace leaders and members to ensure our union is a force to be reckoned with in our dealings with some of the largest and most powerful employers in the country. You will be responsible for recruiting and inspiring finance workers to act collectively, as well as identifying and developing workplace leaders. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a campaign plan for organising workers in your patch.

Experience working in a union or community based organisation would be highly regarded.
