It has been 119 days since CBA announced the sale of Comminsure Life to AIA, and employees on the Defined Benefit Scheme are still no closer to having answers regarding their future.
“The FSU has continued to press CBA for answers on this issue to no avail. It is unacceptable that these employees are still in limbo, they have families and lives that are effectively put on hold until CBA sees fit to talk to them about their future” said NSW State Secretary Rebecca Reilly.
The Board of Super Trustees met in December regarding this issue and a month later employees have still not heard anything of substance.
The FSU calls on CBA to immediately meet with affected employees and their Representatives regarding the status of the Defined Benefit Scheme, so that a proper assessment can be undertaken as to whether or not there is any disadvantage to moving to AIA.
We encourage members to continue to raise concerns through their line managers regarding any outstanding issues and to contact the FSU for any assistance.
