The FSU has been in consultation with the AMP given the news of the restructure and the 42 roles that will be impacted by these changes.
AMP’s official reason for the restructure is as follows:
‘In line with the broader cost cutting agenda across AMP Group, the AMP Australia business unit is reviewing its structure to identify efficiencies. As a result, the business is proposing to outsource this function which means a number of roles are likely to be impacted.’
The Union has been made aware there will be approximately 14 roles available in the proposed new structure even if the function is outsourced, and there may also be a small number of roles available in another team.
All of these roles will be considered as part of the redeployment process for impacted employees. Further, any other appropriate redeployment opportunities across the group will also be explored.
If you have questions or need union assistance contact the FSU, your local representative or call the Member Rights Centre on – 1300 366 378
The MRC is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm EST
The union will maintain in close contact with AMP as these discussions continue.
