Gender Equality Today
Right now more than half of finance employees are women, and yet:
- Nine out of ten part-time workers in finance are women;
- Last year only 7% of all promotions in 2018 went to part-time employees;
- Women retire with two-thirds of the superannuation balance of men; and
- Gender pay inequality at NAB is tracking at 22.7%.
Together we can change things for the better
These are significant issues — and in 2019 we get the chance to renegotiate our pay and conditions at NAB. This gives us a great opportunity to deal with the inequality we face as women in finance.
Change won’t just happen by itself; it’s up to all of us to make it happen. We need to be organised, strong, and prepared to make our voice heard.
