Members have contacted the union again to say there is pressure on a weekly basis from the bank insisting they must record their leave application immediately and that this is “not negotiable”. I have contacted HR Direct who confirm it is a request for colleagues to consider taking leave and to have a conversation with their line manager in regard to your preferences.
The bank is able to direct a colleague to take leave only under certain circumstances.
