ANZ announce plans to close 8 more branches!

Important FSU zoom

Even before the dust has settled on ANZ announcing plans to close 19 of its branches across the country, the bank has announced a further 8 branches will close across Queensland and Victoria.

The impacted branches are:

  • BRIBIE ISLAND (QLD)
  • GATTON (QLD)
  • BRIGHT (VIC)
  • COWES (VIC)
  • NUMURKAH (VIC)
  • PORT FAIRY (VIC)
  • ST ARNAUD (VIC)
  • STAWELL (VIC)

We as a Union community are shocked ANZ continues down the path of closing branches. It shows an utter disregard of your commitment and hard work during the COVID-19 crisis and of the essential service that branches provide to the wider community.

The formal consultation period is now open, and this is your opportunity to express your opinion and have any concerns or questions addressed.

The FSU will be holding a member meeting on Tuesday 16 March at 7.30pm (AEDT), where you will be able to ask questions, seek advice, and provide feedback that we can submit anonymously. Click here to register for the session.

You can also call the FSU Member Rights Centre from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday for industrial assistance on 1300 366 378.

We will be in touch towards the end of the consultation period to provide information on the feedback, questions and answers submitted so far.
