ANZ Bank to close 15 more branches in NSW, Vic and WA

Important FSU zoom

ANZ has announced a proposed additional 15 branches scheduled for closure in regional NSW, Victoria, and Western Australia. This brings the total number of ANZ branches to close to 146 since January 2020.

The formal consultation period is now open. This is our opportunity to express all our opinions and have any concerns or questions addressed.

Come along to the online FSU member meeting on Thursday 22 April at 7.30pm (AEDT). This is a chance for you to ask questions, seek advice, and provide feedback that we can submit anonymously as a group.

Register now for this important meeting.

We, as a union community, are shocked that ANZ continues down the path of closing branches. The Bank continues to blame branch closures on an increased take-up in online banking. We all know the truth is much more complex and that the increase in take-up is because ANZ management has forced you to push customers in that same direction.

The branches proposed for closure are: NSW Forster,Cooma, Ulladulla, Salamander Bay, Casino, Cowra, Cootamundra, Leeton, Kempsey.  Vic  Bacchus Marsh, Lakes Entrance.  WA  Wongan Hills, Bassendean, Baldivis, Beverley.
