With end of year performance ratings being discussed and new performance goals being set, it is important you know your rights.
You have a right to a fair and transparent performance assessment process. Importantly, if you have concerns about how your performance is being assessed, there is something you can do about it!
Your ANZ 2023-2027 Enterprise Agreement (EA) provides a mechanism for resolving disputes. If you disagree with your performance appraisal outcome, you must raise your concerns with your line manager within four weeks. If you remain unsatisfied with the response, you can raise it further.
Don’t agree with your new performance objectives?
You should review your performance objectives to make sure they are fair and reasonable, that they match your accreditation levels and experience, and that they can be met with current staffing levels in the relevant location.
You should be able to complete your new KRAs within current working hours and they should not negatively impact your health and wellbeing.
Support and advice
At any time during this process, union members have the right to contact the FSU for advice, information and representation. If you need support, please reply to this email and we’ll be in touch.
Importantly, talk to your colleagues to see if they have similar concerns. We know that staff working together have much more success in changing unfair targets and scorecards.
