The Finance Sector Union (FSU) has put EML on notice for proceedings at the Fair Work Commission over the company’s refusal to pay penalty rates to employees who worked on Bank Holiday.
The FSU has been informed that several employees have been paid at their ordinary rate for working on Bank Holiday which the union believes is a breach of the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2010 and the Retail Trading Act 2008.
We believe you should be paid Public Holiday Penalty Rates for working on the Bank Holiday.
Are you impacted?
The FSU will be pursuing claims on behalf of its members. If you worked on Bank Holiday, which fell on Monday 5 August this year, we would like to hear from you urgently.
