Members have recently raised concerns about CBA’s decision to stop using physical access cards at Bankwest Place from 15 June. Instead, the bank has requested staff download the CBA Navigate App.
Many members raised objections about downloading the App on personal devices at our online meeting last week due to concerns about how data is collected, stored and used. The App’s privacy policy provides further detail about the data it collects, which may include information about your device, your carrier, GPS data when at a mobile ID reader, in building location data and information related to unlocking your locker.
We wrote to Bankwest’s Jason Chan about our concerns and received this response from CBA’s Industrial Relations Department in NSW, which includes alternatives to downloading the App.
If you don’t want to download the CBA Navigate App on your personal device or are unable to, temporary access cards are available from the concierge and group security outside of business hours.
