Last week we were able to meet with LUCRF management again to discuss the position coming from the last meeting of members which was:
- A new certified agreement for at least 12 months;
- 3% pay increase guaranteed;
- A guaranteed right to work from home included in the new agreement.
At this stage management are not prepared to consider including a working from home clause in a new agreement.
Antony Thow said in the last meeting that directing staff when and where to work is an important right that they are not prepared to give up.
Ensuring that your right to work from home is included in the agreement is very important, particularly if LUCRF is considering a merger in the near future. This will ensure that no matter what happens to the fund, your rights are protected.
We have asked management to reconsider this position with a view to resolving the negotiations and allow staff to focus on doing what they do best.
If you have any questions or comments about the negotiations, please reply to this email.
We will provide you with further updates shortly.
In solidarity,
Your FSU Team
