Did you receive an email this week directing you to return your IT equipment to the office?
When the COVID-19 pandemic started, we all started working from home overnight. We did this even when it was difficult or disruptive to our lives so that we could keep helping our customers.
Bendigo Bank is now forcing us to return IT equipment like our monitors and keyboards to the office.
Does Bendigo Bank expect us to work from home on our laptops? Or is this just a sneaky way for Bendigo Bank to force us back to the office? We’ve written to them to ask them exactly that question.
Bendigo Bank has an obligation to provide us with a safe workplace, whether that’s at home or in the office. It is not fair for Bendigo Bank to force us to go out and spend hundreds or thousands of dollars buying equipment to work safely at home.
We call on Bendigo Bank make sure we have the equipment to work from home safely, or provide us with an allowance to set up safe working environments at home.
