A taskforce established by the Federal government to assess the impact of branch closures on regional communities is holding a community forum in Mildura next week.
As a member of the Mildura community, we are hoping you can attend. This is our opportunity to ask questions and provide real feedback.
The public forum will be held at Red Cliffs Community Resource Centre on 12 January, starting at 10am.
The taskforce is not made up of workers, the elderly or any consumer groups – but rather banks, AusPost and other employer bodies. So it’s vital they hear from workers like yourself about the true impact of the closures.
We understand that members are reticent to speak out in public and we are not asking that you say anything about your employer that makes you feel uncomfortable. Rather, we want the taskforce to hear about the impact closures have on your town, friends, customers, and your community.
