CBA continues to post obscene profits – they’ve just announced a $10.25 billion profit for the last financial year.
So why is CEO Matt Comyn still offshoring our jobs and replacing our roles with AI? And why has it takenour dispute in the Fair Work Commission to force him to disclose basic information regarding how these decisions are being made?
Today’s CBA annual report also reveals a 21% increase in jobs at CBA India since last year. This marks a massive 138% increase since CBA first began reporting those numbers in 2022, which contrasts with CBA’s local employment numbers decreasing by 2.74% in the same period.
All his confirms that the bank’s recent ‘redundancies’ are not genuine. They’re a grab for cheap labour at our expense.
Australian workers deserve better than this.
And a reminder for tomorrow’s snap union meeting, where we’ll discuss our disputes and provide more information on CBA’s AI and offshoring agenda –please register now!
