Over the last 12 months, the FSU has been campaigning to restore trust and confidence across the finance sector. This has included telling your stories about how the way you are paid may create a conflict between you earning your own livelihood and good outcomes for customers.
With stories like yours, an independent ABA Inquiry came to similar conclusions. The Inquiry recommended structuring pay outcomes to be more customer focused.
There is more work to do to fully implement these recommendations, but your experiences are key to shining a light on the good and not so good practices occurring across CBA.
APRA have also been conducting an inquiry into the culture and governance at CBA. They will soon send out a survey for employees to complete, to hear directly from you.
Your stories are vital
We know that employees telling their stories is critical in delivering improvements in your working lives. We encourage all employees to participate in the APRA survey – and all employees must able to provide frank and honest feedback to the questions posed by APRA.
If you feel pressured, incentivised or compelled to provide responses other than those you want to provide, please contact the FSU. It is critical your voice is heard.
The FSU will continue to campaign across our industry and CBA, to make sure that recommendations for improving employees’ working lives are implemented.
