On Wednesday 8th September IOOF announced changes across the Finance Department. The consultation period started then, and goes until Wednesday 15th September.
Your FSU will hold an information and Q&A session on Monday 13th September for any impacted members and staff. We will cover questions about the proposed change, and discuss your rights through this period.
The consultation period
Consultation is critical in any change process: it’s our vital chance to get improvements. During this time all IOOF colleagues can seek clarity on what is proposed, ask questions on any related matter, and influence the outcome of any proposed change.
Management must provide relevant information in writing, including timelines, affected positions, and the selection process for any new roles.
They must also explain their measures to avert or mitigate the effects of the change – and promptly consider any issues we raise.
Union support and representation through change
FSU members also have the right to be represented by our Union through this period and beyond. If you aren’t a member join today at www.fsunion.org.au/join
The FSU will hold further information and consultation meetings with members over the coming weeks as additional changes are announced.
In the meantime – if you are not in the Finance Department or cannot attend this meeting and would like to discuss your rights, or you’re notified of a change in your team/department, contact your FSU.
