Changes to retail roles across SA Country CBA Branches

Recently CBA announced changes to roles across South Australian Retail Branches in the SA Country Area.

Recently CBA announced changes to roles across South Australian Retail Branches in the SA Country Area. As you would know, some Victorian CBA Country branches are considered part of the CBA SA Region. Will these changes affect you?

Proposed Change

The bank is proposing the creation of a new role – Customer Banking Specialist and is proposing that all Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Customer Service Specialist (CSS) positions will be made redundant and all affected employees will be offered the CBS position which will be a combination of CSR and CSS duties.

For staff currently in a CSR position this would result in staff continuing to perform CSR duties but also being upskilled to undertake CSS duties under the CBS position. It would also result in a remuneration increase aligned to the GC4 grade. For staff currently in a CSS position the duties will substantially be the same however, they would be required to perform some CSR duties, as required, under the CBS position. It is not proposed to make changes to the CSS grade or remuneration (currently at GC4).
