FSU Women Standing for Equality
on International Women’s Day

Guest Speaker: Michele O’Neil, president of the Australian Council of Trade Unions.

Right now more than half of finance employees are women, and yet:

  • Nine out of ten part-time workers in finance are women;
  • Last year only 7% of all promotions in 2018 went to part-time employees;
  • Women retire with two-thirds of the superannuation balance of men; and
  • Gender pay inequality at NAB is tracking at 22.7%.

These are significant issues — and in 2019 we get the chance to renegotiate our pay and conditions at NAB. This gives us a great opportunity to deal with the inequality we face as women in finance.

Change won’t just happen by itself; it’s up to all of us to make it happen. We need to be organised, strong, and prepared to make our voice heard.

Please join us as we begin our preparations to make finance fair for ourselves and for all future women coming into our industry.
