Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Finance Officer will be responsible for the following:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts, debtors, creditors and clearing general ledger accounts.
  • Maintenance of the general ledger
  • Create tax invoices for debtors as required
  • Process and follow up Mastercard/Visa card receipts
  • Other tasks as directed

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform duties within specified timelines.
  • Ability to perform both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adjust work practices to meet the needs of the union and its members
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of ACCPAC (Sage 300) accounting software is preferred.


Salary is $64,249 with 1 RDO per month. The FSU also offers other excellent working conditions including employer superannuation contributions of 15%.
