First ever Joint Consultative Group meeting – report back

Last week we held our first ever Joint Consultative Group (JCG) meeting under our new Enterprise Agreement.

The Joint Consultative Group includes Kristin Miller and Antony Thow from Cbus Management.

Bill Rue and Caroline Troup from our reps’ group and FSU Branch Secretary Nicole McPherson are representing our Union community.

At our meeting, we discussed:

  • How the group will run, including terms of reference and meeting frequency
  • Including a Cbus strategy update as a standing agenda item
  • Improving inclusion of our colleagues outside of Melbourne
  • The leadership transformation program at Cbus
  • How we can improve the change management process at Cbus.

One of the actions from our meeting was for Caroline and Bill to look into feedback we’ve received that some Fund activities and communications still feel very Melbourne-centric. We’ll be in touch to capture any specific examples, along with ideas for solutions. You can also reply to this email with your thoughts.

We discussed that the JCG will be a forum for open dialogue and problem solving between management and all of us.

This means that if you have anything you would like us to raise – an amazing idea, something that isn’t working right, some feedback, or anything else –  get in touch. We would love to hear from you!

Our FSU organiser is Laf Zuccarello and his contact details are lafcadio.zuccarello@fsunion.org.au or 0434 160 523.

Please also feel free to reach out to any of our FSU Reps Team!

We will report back to FSU members after every JCG meeting. Our next meeting will be scheduled soon, so please get in touch.

In unity,
Your FSU Reps @ Cbus

P.S. Keep an eye out for member meetings in the coming weeks – we’ll be reviewing our Enterprise Agreement and what difference the changes are making!
