FSU Campaign News November

Over the past 12 months, workplace leaders from across all enterprises have come together to update and modernise our union Rules so that they better reflect the finance sector we all work for today.

I am pleased to let you know that our new Rules have been approved by the Fair Work Commission.

The new structure more clearly reflects workers across the sector, and the issues we care most about. We’ll see various new committees, enabling greater participation in the union across these areas:

Enterprise Campaigns

  • ANZ
  • CBA
  • RBA
  • Bankwest
  • NAB
  • Westpac Group

Industry Campaigns

  • Superannuation
  • Insurance
  • Other Banks, Credit Unions & Building Societies
  • Centralised Customer Services
  • Mortgage Brokers
  • Technology and Admin Services
  • Wealth Management

Community Campaigns

  • LGBTQIA+
  • First Nation
  • Disability
  • Regional/Remote
  • Young Adult

Emerging Groups

  • Culturally & Linguistically Diverse
  • Workers’ Political Affairs
  • Environmental Matters
  • Gender Equity
  • WHS
  • Human Rights Network

The new industry, community and emerging committees will enhance our activism and grow the union to be a stronger, more powerful force for all workers across the sector.

If you’d like to know more about these committees or want to get more involved, please email me.

I am excited to see what we can achieve next!

Send Your Senator a Message

The Albanese Government has just unveiled the ‘Secure Jobs, Better Pay’ Bill.

To make these important new laws a reality, we need your help! The proposed new laws will help ease the cost-of-living crisis by enabling workers to bargain for decent wage increases.

Let the Senate know why these new laws matter to you. It only takes a couple of minutes.
