As well as underpayment issues raised by the “better off overall test” the union is working on another issue raised by CBA’s use of “IAs” (or IFAs).
We’ve long held concerns around the way that IFAs are entered into at CBA.
The FSU’s experience is that IFAs in CBA were – for a long time – proposed by CBA to all (or almost all) new employees. The way in which these arrangements were offered varies across the group, but we know of many cases where IFAs were presented as a condition of employment.
We’re interested in hearing from those of you currently on IFAs about your experiences – particularly around the offering and signing of your agreement.
To let us know about your experiences with your IFA, reply to this email with a brief summary and a copy of your IFA if you have it, and we’ll be in touch!
