After more than 250 members signed the 6% pay pledge petition and showed our strength, Link Group moved their pay offer from 2.75% to 3.5% for this year.
Link Group management’s offer is a wage cut and is NO WHERE NEAR ENOUGH.
Over the last 12 months we have been hard hit as the cost of essential items have sky-rocketed. Fruit and vegetables have increased 7.3% and fuel is up a staggering 32%. Inflation is set to reach 7%.
This week we delivered our messages straight to CEO Vivek Bhatia telling him to come back to us with an improved wage offer. You can read our letter to Vivek Bhatia here – we are not backing down and accepting a bad deal – we deserve a real wage increase.
We will keep pushing for our 6% to help us meet the cost of living.
