Thank you for making your voice heard about your work conditions and pay at MyState ahead of your Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
Last week we ran our first online meeting with members at MyState to update you on Enterprise Bargaining negotiations. You told us about issues like unpaid overtime, employee turnover and excessive workloads – and the financial and emotional impacts of these concerns on your lives.
We heard your stories and we showed our solidarity and determination to fight for a better and fairer workplace where employees are respected, and their work is acknowledged and rewarded.
We also updated you on the first three Enterprise Bargaining meetings with My State and explained some of the bank’s most concerning proposals. MyState wants to:
- cut your redundancy pay by between 13 and 70%
- force you to take a two-week block of annual leave each year
- ask you to take on higher duties for up to 2 weeks without extra pay
FSU meets with MyState tomorrow (Tuesday 30th March) to discuss one of the most important parts of your agreement – your pay. MyState wants to “simplify” your pay structure to include fewer bands.
Our Next Bargaining Meeting
You can find out how this will affect you and how we can fight back at our next online Bargaining Update discussion:
FSU Zoom meeting
Wednesday 31st March, 7:30 pm AEDT
The meeting is open to members and non-members, so share this information with your colleagues or print out our flyer and give it to your co-workers.
We also want to hear from you if you work unpaid overtime: if you are expected to log on before your shift starts and keep working until after your shift finishes. If this is happening to you, you could be owed thousands of dollars in unpaid overtime. Come to our meeting to find out more or contact Hannah (0466778063) or Gavin (0498092518) to discuss your situation.
Together we can win a fair deal for MyState employees.
In Unity,
FSU Team
