It’s No Secret Union Membership Consistently Delivers Better Outcomes
Against a backdrop of wage stagnation and a broken industrial relations system, union members in NAB have bucked the national trend. It’s no accident – it’s because union members have actively campaigned for improved pay conditions and rights at work at NAB over numerous enterprise bargaining cycles.
Group 1 and 2 Employees – Your Salary Increases this Week
Expect a 3% increase in your pay from 24 January. The only exception is if you have a red conduct gate in place in the performance year prior to the increase.
Group 3 and 4 Employees
Annual reporting of Group 3 and 4 salary increases has just arrived, and we continue to see the benefits of the work we did in our “Fix the Broken Pay Model” campaign, and the Classification review. In this financial year 67% of Group 3 employees and 64% of Group 4 employees received a salary increase.
Group 3 and 4 Employees Salary Appeals Process
Workplace Performance provides salary recommendations to People Leaders each year. The recommendation is guidance for your People Leader. You have a right to obtain a copy of your recommendation through your People Leader or PAC. If you believe your salary outcome is not fair or appropriate you can then initiate the salary appeals process to have the decision reconsidered.
For assistance in working through the salary appeals process, register to attend a FSU Salary Workshop. Please make sure you include your workplace location in your email. Alternatively, you can contact the Member Rights Centre for support on 1300366 378 or by email at mrc@fsunion.org.au.
Why Your Salary Is Important
NAB has announced significant change over the next 3 years with proposed cuts to 6000 roles while 2000 new roles will come on. Your final salary determines all payments associated with retrenchment and leave balances. In the event of retrenchment a small increase today could mean a significantly better outcome later.
