NAB EA – Negotiations begin!

Negotiations for our new NAB Enterprise Agreement (EA) will begin this Wednesday 29 June.

Changes to the coverage of the Agreement

Wednesday’s bargaining meeting will focus on the issue of coverage, after NAB announced plans to remove over 1800 colleagues in Groups 5 and above from the EA.

Removing workers from the EA erodes our collective voice and jeopardises the security of employment conditions for everyone.

Our position is clear – coverage of the EA must not be cut back. All employees must have access to the same conditions and certainty.

Our union is holding a report back meeting on Friday 1st July at 12pm, to update Group 5 and above colleagues on the issue of inclusion in the EA.

Wages, workloads and work/life balance

These negotiations are an opportunity for NAB to listen to the challenges we face across the Bank, and work constructively with our union to solve them.

Our union claim clearly sets out the vital quality of life improvements we need. They include:

  • Addressing the cost of living crisis and fixing a failing pay system that has excluded thousands of employees;
  • Abolishing unreasonable excessive hours of work patterns; and
  • Improving staffing levels.
