Today NAB ignored the opportunity to do the right thing by all Group 3 and 4 colleagues. Instead the bank opted to only address some of the underpayments concerns the FSU has been raising of behalf of our members.
NAB’s position will be deeply frustrating to fulltime Group 3 and 4 employees who have consistently and systematically worked upwards of 40 hours a week for years.
The FSU put NAB on notice that these issues are alive and is fully committed to ensuring that fulltime Group 3 and 4 underpayment issues are addressed, we are now seeking further advice on how we progress this issue further with NAB.

Group 3/4 Part-timers Win $40Mil
While NAB have ignored the concerns of Full Time staff, they have acknowledged the concerns of Group 3/4 part time members.
The Bank announced the remediation of 40 million in unpaid wages to approx. 3000 current and former colleagues dating back to 2012 and a permanent uplift in salary to impacted current colleagues of approx. 5.26% in late April 2021.
The underpayments are a result of NAB incorrectly using a 40 hour week to prorata the salary of part time colleagues.
Currently employed colleagues who are impacted will receive a letter on Friday 26th March and payment will be made on Wednesday 31st March.
NAB will begin the process of getting in touch with former colleagues from Monday 29th March. If you are a former colleague who has already registered with the FSU we are ensuring that you are prioritised to receive your owed wages.
