Consultation – Your Rights
and End of Year Shutdown

Thank you to those who attended yesterday’s meeting. As we discussed, during the rolling proposed organisational redesign process commencing across IOOF, Management have a key obligation to consult with impacted employees.

The Consultation Period – our rights and opportunities

Consultation is critical in any change process: it’s our vital chance to get improvements. During this time all IOOF colleagues can seek clarity on what is proposed, ask questions on any related matter, and influence the outcome of any proposed change.

Management must provide relevant information in writing, including timelines, affected positions, and the selection process for any new roles.

They must also explain their measures to avert or mitigate the effects of the change – and promptly consider any issues we raise.

Union support and representation through change

FSU members also have the right to be represented by our Union through this period and beyond. The FSU will hold further information and consultation meetings with members over the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for dates and times.

In the meantime – if you would like to discuss your rights, or you’re notified of a change in your team/department, contact FSU Organiser Matthew Plumb on 0434 321 786 or the FSU Member Rights Centre on 1300 366 378.

End of Year Shutdown Policy

IOOF have announced their End of Year shutdown policy. We want to understand how FSU members view the announcement, and hear your questions about how this policy will operate and its implications.

Please take a few minutes to complete this feedback form by Friday 3rd September.

Share this update with your colleagues.
