Rally for Aged Care:
ADELAIDE Tuesday 10 May 2022. 12.30pm for 1pm start
Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga – South, Grote St, Adelaide

FSU stands in solidarity with aged care workers and their Union, which is why you’re invited to an Adelaide rally on May 10th to support aged care workers who are going on strike across the country.

This unprecedented action involves aged care workers from eight major providers in WA, Qld and SA. In SA, workers from Southern Cross, Anglicare and Bolton Clarke (previously Allity) will be walking off the job.

Aged care workers are exhausted and angry at the failure to address chronic understaffing in aged care. They are emotionally exhausted by the distressed residents they see every single day and their inability to give the respect and dignified care to older Australians.

They are sick of being told by the Government that they are heroes for working through the pandemic but not being paid a decent wage.

After many years of aged care being ignored, the Australian community has now realised the crisis and aged care is one of the key issues in the Federal Election campaign. Aged care workers are seizing their moment and standing up and taking action.
