Suncorp prioritises redeployment over retrenchment
FSU made representations on your behalf to Suncorp after discovering Suncorp was advertising jobs on Seek for Customer Service Officers at Toowoomba – this, while contact centre staff are in the middle of a consultation period that will result in the reduction of jobs.
FSU raised this matter with Suncorp this week, and we are pleased to report that Suncorp has responded by ensuring that those impacted by the reduction of roles in the contact centre will have an opportunity to be redeployed into these jobs by secondment, which may extend your employment at Suncorp by another 6 months.
